Symphony centralizes insertion orders and ensures that important steps are managed with compliance and time-saving benefits.
There are two insertion order issuing options:
- Agency issues insertion order(s)
- Publisher issues insertion order(s)
The Symphony insertion order process may run in tandem with existing publisher procedures. For information on your agency-publisher workflow, please contact our client services team for assistance.
Agency issues insertion order workflow
This is the most expedient option as it takes the shortest amount of time between client approval and insertion order creation. The agency confirms and simultaneously issues the insertion order for the required line items.
Note:
- Should any changes be made to confirmed items, either the publisher or agency can include those changes in the insertion order
- Publishers cannot delete confirmed items. Should an item require deletion, the publisher must contact the agency to action
Publisher issues insertion order workflow
This is the most expedient option for insertion order revisions if the publisher is managing optimization changes within Symphony. The publisher can make the campaign changes and then issue a new insertion order to the agency immediately. This workflow ensures the fastest sign off to campaign changes.
Publisher insertion order statuses
Status | Description |
![]() |
Once a placement has been confirmed you can proceed to creating an insertion order. This can happen on both sides - either the publisher or agency creates the insertion order. Once the insertion order is saved it will go into a draft status. |
![]() |
When an insertion order is in pending status is means that either the publisher or the agency has issued it and waiting for the other party to review. If in the event you need to make changes to the insertion order you can always recall it. |
![]() |
Once the agency or publisher has received the issued insertion order they will see an attention status. This highlights that action is needed and is waiting on sign off. |
![]() |
When an issued insertion order has been signed off by both publisher and agency then it goes into an approved status. |
