Before you start trafficking your campaign across to DCM there are a few checklist items to tick off first. Let's go through these together.
Campaign setup
The first area to check before trafficking is your campaign setup. There is a section within the setup where you can select your primary adserver and cost information. You have the option to send cost information across to the adserver or not. Please remember once you have trafficked to DCM you can't undo this option as it becomes locked.
Placement / package creation or modification
One of the main areas to pay attention to when adding information to your placement or package is the creative type. Once you have trafficked you won't be able to change this. The other part is the connection between the creative type and the tracking type.
The tracking type is important as it tells the adserver what type of adtags need to be generated. This information is located under the traffic tab.
So in the scenario you had a creative type as mobile, your tracking type should also be mobile.
The last component is the compatibility option located next to the tracking type. This is used in combination of the tracking type and is there to assist with creative settings for the placement within the adserver.
