As part of automating the process of buying Premium Direct inventory in Symphony we have updated how the Symphony import template functions upon import. Any placements or packages that are part of your schedule that belong to a publisher who is activated for the Symphony Premium Direct will automatically be assigned as PD (Premium Direct) items upon import.
Let's quickly go through the steps involved when using the import template in Symphony. Assuming you have already created a campaign, simply navigate to your media schedule, then click on the 'import' icon to generate a fresh template to use.
Once you have filled out your template and saved it, go back to the media schedule and click on the import icon again to import the file.
Items will automatically appear in your media schedule upon import. These items will have an PD icon next to them in the media schedule - this is to help you identify which items are programmatic guaranteed. The other aspect is the cost summary section towards the bottom of the page - under the Adslot Publisher header is where you'll see your programmatic guaranteed cost summary.
