Each Google Campaign Manager account may configured differently depending on how the account needs to be managed. For clients with a large product portfolio the GCM account might setup in a way that it will have advertisers broken out into their separate product names. This is to help with reporting and tracking of revenue generated at a more granular level. Other scenarios may involve how different teams will manage different advertisers in GCM.
Below is an example of how this mapping works between Symphony and GCM for client products.
Symphony Client | Symphony Product | GCM Advertiser |
Jane's Pet Shop | Wet Food | JPS_Wet |
Jane's Pet Shop | Dry Food | JPS_Dry |
You will need to be an administrator user to follow these steps in order to complete the mapping.
Integration > Data Mapping > GCM > Type Client (display or search)
- Find the client you wish to map then click on the edit/add link located on the right side
- From the pop-up box select the product advertiser overrides tick box
- From the drop-down select the product and then enter in the GCM advertiser ID and click on the add button
- Once you have finished adding in your products click on the save button
