As explained in the Facebook summary article, you will need to be an administrator of a Facebook business account in order to complete these steps.
- Login to your Facebook business account and then navigate to the Users section and select System Users from the option.
- Add a new system user (please note that there is a limit of system users that can be created for each business account). If one already exists then we would suggest utilizing that one instead of creating another one.
Note: when creating a system user for API trafficking, a regular system user will suffice. - Once created you will need to assign assets to the system user. An ad account advertiser level access should work in this case.
- Ensure that the system user has the correct finance role enabled. This can either be finance analyst or finance editor. The reason this step is important is due to the billing component as Symphony allows you to pull 1st party billing data from Facebook - this helps with billing reconciliation.
